A FAMILY business which was officially re-opened by Princess Anne, in a fanfare of publicity just four months ago, is being marketed for sale.
R Y Henderson & Sons, founded in 1945 and one of Scotland's oldest meat processing family firms, is being sold as a going concern.
The company officially opened a multi-million pound, state-of-the-art abattoir at Myreside Farm, near Whitecross, in September ? the first of its kind in 25 years.
But rumours started doing the rounds in Linlithgow on Monday when some of the firm's boning plant operators were sent home.
