CLUES to the battle of Linlithgow Bridge could be unearthed ? if the town's long-awaited skatepark is approved.
The Battlefield Trust and West of Scotland Archaeological Service wants permission to investigate if the Kettilstoun Mains site is excavated.
Jonathan Cooper, who published a book about the 1526 battle just over a year ago, wrote to the council after outline planning permission for the skatepark was submitted.
The 40-year-old, of Deanburn Park, explained: "I started doing research on the battle about five or six years ago when I moved to the town.
