Aug 19, 2008 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian listed property trusts will be under scrutiny in the week ended 22 August 2008, with many scheduled to release their latest financial results. Some market watchers suggest that Asian real estate investment trusts could be a better investment than their Australian counterparts. Ian Lancaster of Trust Company notes that Asian property trusts tend to have much stabler core investors, while their simpler financial structures have reduced the effect of rising financing costs.
