A mother who was unable to see her daughter dance at Lynn Arts Centre as it does not admit wheelchair users has vowed to take West Norfolk Council to court if it does not commit to making the venue accessible.
Lifelong wheelchair user Alison Norman (36), and husband Paul (39), of Lynn Road, Terrington St Clement, bought tickets to see their daughter Gemma (now 9) dance at the Magical Gems from the Movies show, on Friday, December 9.
But Mrs Norman had to spend the show in Crofters Coffee Shop below the theatre, as the council said having a wheelchair in the auditorium would breach health and safety rules.
