Fluffy penguins and polar bears helped a Setch company which specialises in lifelike plush toy animals boost its sales by 40 per cent in its first two months as a stand-alone business.
Hansa Toys, based on the Garage Lane Industrial Estate, sells its products at more than 400 outlets across the UK, ranging from department stores and small boutiques to toy shops and garden centres.
For four years the company was the toy and gift division of importers and distributors of garden and leisure products, Norfolk Leisure, which was founded by Gayton husband-and-wife team Nick and Jo Anderson in 1997.
