The Bells rang out at Litcham church in memory of a record-breaking climber and former student of Lynn's King Edward VII School who died enjoying his life-long passion.

Ian Angell who attended KES as a boarder during the 1950s, died aged 66, on January 14, after he fell down a hidden crevasse while climbing the lower slopes of A'Chrois, near Loch Lomond.

His son Tim Angell, of Litcham, said he was a climber from an early age and used to reminisce about night-time excursions when he would climb over the school roof and up the lantern tower, dressed in his pyjamas.
