Woody Allen hasn't done stand-up comedy in 40 years, but he slides right into it when he becomes the topic of conversation. His humor is self-deprecatory. Talking about his new movie, "Vicky Cristina Barcelona," a critics' favorite at the Cannes Film Festival, Allen says he isn't adventurous like his character Cristina (played by Scarlett Johansson), but rather he's scared of everything, much like Cristina's best friend, Vicky (Rebecca Hall).
"I am a mealy-mouthed coward who sits in this room and am afraid of my shadow," he says. "I have no courage whatsoever and no spirit of adventure."
