A FORMER accountant hopes to brew up a new rival to Starbucks coffee shops with the opening of his new tea bar.
Brew, owned by former KPMG trainee Phil Kirby, aims to do for tea what chains such as Caffe Nero have done for coffee.
The tea bar, in St Paul's Square, off Old Hall Street, offers a range of teas including new blend Scouser's Breakfast and classics such as Earl Grey and Lapsang Souchong.
But Mr Kirby, 26, is also serving tea in unusual ways including a green tea latte, which uses ground tea.
