City firefighters have a new weapon in the fight against arson - Barney the sniffer dog.
Black collie cross Barney can sniff out anything that an arsonist has used to start a fire - helping to catch the perpetrator.
And with around 100 arson attacks per month in Milton Keynes, it looks like Barney and handler Kerry Burns will be kept busy.
Kerry said: "Dogs have a greater sense of smell to humans and can detect the presence of flammable fuels with greater sensitivity and accuracy than electronic equipment."
Barney can hunt down evidence such as lighters and petrol bombs and alert Kerry by pointing his nose at the smell.
