Marshall Milton Keynes Athletic Club's Craig Pickering was delighted with the 60m silver medal won at last weekend's European Indoor Championships in Birmingham.
"If you'd tried to tell me at the start of the season that I will get a silver medal, I would have bitten your arm off," the 20-year-old said.
The reigning European junior champion kept his cool through two false starts in the final - the second of which
resulted in the elimination of his University of Bath training mate, Ryan Scott.
