The mystery of a massive hole has been solved by the Citizen after two months of buck-passing by the authorities.
After lots of digging around, we can reveal that the blame seems to lie fairly and squarely with ...... a robotic mole.
Newport Pagnell traders and residents have been scratching their heads over the 18ft long, 6ft wide and 6ft deep trench, which was dug at the side of St John Street by Alfred McAlpine contractors in January and then seemingly abandoned.
