Joseph "Corky'' Coker, 53, and his 78-year-old father Harold have always had a passion for antique cars, motorcycles and hot rods and couldn't help but collect the stuff.
That hobbybegun by a father and passed on to the sonbirthed Coker Tire Co. Inc. 50 years ago, mostly out of necessity. As Corky Coker puts it today, his father needed tires no longer manufactured in order to enjoy his collection of old vehicles. Buying original tire molds from tire makers to create their own vintage tires and then selling those tires to other hobbyists became the way to financially support the pastime both Cokers have grown to love.
