Survey highlights IT risks.(UPDATE)

SIXTY-FIVE PERCENT OF CHIEF AUDIT EXECUTIVES (CAEs) in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Sweden don't consider data privacy and IT fraud to be among the most serious threats to their organization, according to an Ernst & Young report, Navigating to Success--2008 IT Internal Audit Survey. CAEs in those countries rank corporate data breaches and data privacy regulation sixth in their organization's top IO IT risks. Chief information officers (CIOs) only ranked these risks ninth. Ernst & Young interviewed CAEs from 60 large companies as well as 20 CIOs to assess the current state of IT auditing.
