JUST two seconds separated the top three riders in Matlock Cycling Club's closest time trial of the season so far.
Nineteen riders turned out for a Club '10' that had the threat of rain hanging over the race. Luckily, it held off, but while a northerly wind blew the riders up to Bakewell they then had to pay for it on the homeward leg.
Richard Cordin was first home in 22.37, followed by Peter Colledge in 22.38 and Chris Green in 22.39, with Chris only two seconds shy of equalling his own veterans course record.
In fourth place, Matt Ingram rode to another personal best with a time of 23.32, three seconds quicker than Chris Hopkinson, who was ...
