FLOODING and bad weather took its toll on Matlock Cycling Club's weekly programme, with enforced route changes.
The Tuesday '10' time trial had to find an alternative route to avoid the deep water, but 12 riders still took part including 12-year-old Emily Thoday and her Australian pen-friend Nikki Boyle, resplendent in Aussie colours.
Peter Colledge notched up his fifth win of the season to record 22.20 for the shortened course, 18 seconds up on Chris Green who rode fixed despite a very stiff headwind on the leg up to Bakewell.
Steve Strange's third place in 23.49 was his highest position and fastest time this season.
