CHRIS Green made the most of things as many of his key rivals were absent for Matlock Cycling Club's Tuesday club 10 time trial.
Andy Woolf, Richard Cordin and Peter Colledge were all missing, and Chris, riding fixed, rode to a comfortable win in 22.56 with his nearest challenger, Matt Ingrams, almost a minute back.
In third place, and not noted for his flat time-trialling prowess, was Chris Metcalfe, who recorded 24.42 despite not using tri bars.
Only nine seconds back was Chris Sharp in fourth place with 24.51 and riding fixed gear.
Only 1.13 separated the next seven riders.
