The Board of Morgan County Commissioners approved a special use permit for Rocky Mountain Sustainable Energy to set up a biodiesel production facility near Morgan County Road Q and MCR 13.
The plant would turn used cooking oil into biodiesel for use in powering machinery and diesel engines, said board Chairman Tony Carlson.
The site is located in the same half-section as the ethanol plant approved for High Plains Renewable Energy.
