Aug. 22--FOUNTAIN SPRINGS -- Nuisance noise caused by all-terrain vehicles (ATV) on coal lands in the Big Mine Run section of Butler Township will be focused on by township police and Reading Anthracite Co. security personnel.
The township supervisors heard complaints from residents of Big Mine Run at Tuesday's meeting about excessive noise caused by the recreational vehicles, particularly on weekends. The problem has been going on for some time and residents asked about what could be done to alleviate the annoying conditions.
