THE search is on for the owner of an unusual ring after its sentimental story was uncovered.
The unique gold band was spotted by Morpeth resident Maureen Howes about a month ago, glinting in the driveway of her home in The Kylins.
The eagle-eyed resident immediately picked up the jewellery to reunite it with its rightful owner, thinking it may have belonged to workers who had called at her home that day.
However, no one she asked had lost a ring and eventually Mrs Howes went to Osbornes Jewellers in the town to see if staff could shed any light on the find.
