Boy plunges 60ft from tower block trying to escape gang
A BOY of 16 plunged 60ft to his death from a tower block as he fled from a teenage gang.
Ahmed Benyermak had tried to escape the youths, believed to have been armed with knives, by climbing down the outside of balconies from the 13th floor.
But as he reached the seventh floor, he found a metal grille blocking his way.
Horrified residents suggested last night that the chasing gang pushed Ahmed over, or even stamped on his hands until he lost his grip.
He bled to death on the ground below.
