Brazilian company Votorantim Metais has increased its stake in Peru's Minera Milpo by 51.6mn shares, the latter reported in a statement to Peruvian securities regulator Conasev.

Milpo did not state what percentage of the company Votorantim now controls, but local press reported that the Brazilian still has not acquired a majority stake in the Peruvian, which has supposedly been its intention since launching a public offer in April for 20% or some 147mn shares, which it concluded with only 1mn shares.
