Aug. 23--Mooney Airplane Company moved to Kerrville in 1954, and when Bill Wheat and Stanley Feller starting working there in the late 1950s, they had no idea how long their jobs would last. Now, 50 years later, they have no idea when their jobs will end. "I have no intention of retiring as long as I can keep going," said Wheat, who figures he flew about 25,000 hours during his time as a test pilot for Mooney.
