FOXBORO - It didn't take long for the Foxboro faithful to make their feelings on Asante Samuel's offseason departure known. On the Patriots' first play from scrimmage, Randy Moss took an end-around and was immediately met by Samuel in the backfield for a 5-yard loss.
When Samuel was credited with the tackle, boos rained down from the crowd.
"They love to hate me," Samuel said after the Eagles' 27-17 win at Gillette Stadium. "They love me, they miss me, but I'm not with them, so they hate me."
