INCONSIDERATE drivers in Melton could be putting lives at risk by blocking the path of emergency vehicles.
The problem was highlighted recently when Melton Times reporter Christian March witnessed an ambulance and paramedic vehicle attend a call in British School Gardens - only to be blocked by a parked car.
The car wasn't parked on double yellow lines but it stopped the emergency vehicles getting further down the road and meant paramedics were delayed in getting to the patient. The owner of the parked vehicle isn't known.
East Midlands Ambulance Spokesman Phil Morris wouldn't comment on the nature of the call-out but said: "We frequently hear ...
