SERVICES in Melton will suffer unless the Government gives more to the county council.
David Parsons, leader at County Hall, said county-wide cuts of [pounds sterling]6 million will be made unless the authority gets its fair share.
The current proposed increase in funding is 0.8 per cent - equal to just 15p per person, far less than the rate of inflation at 2.5 per cent.
Mr Parsons said: "I don't want to be alarmist, but we are looking at cuts to the range of services that we provide in Melton.
