High ranking defense and intelligence officials last week expressed their overall support for legislation pending in the House to reform the U.S. intelligence community.
The House Intelligence Committee, led by chairman Rep. Larry Combest (R- Tex.), briefed Director of Central Intelligence (DCI) John Deutch and Deputy Defense Secretary John White on the Intelligence Community Act of 1996 last Wednesday, with both officials voicing their support for the committee's reforms.
