Imagine eavesdropping on criminals or terrorists plotting to smuggle drugs or weapons into South Africa - and getting the exact location and time of delivery in the process.
It sounds like a technological revolution in crime-fighting and intelligence gathering, but this is what intelligence officers at the National Communications Centre (NCC) - the country's interceptor of foreign signals - do, working tirelessly to try to curb "transnational organised crime".
