OFFICIALS from Castleford and Featherstone have given a cautious welcome to news that National League fixtures are to be screened live on British Eurosport.
Unconfirmed reports suggest the RFL have brokered a deal that would break Sky TV's stranglehold on domestic league fixtures, with games taking place on Thursday evening to avoid a clash with Sky's weekend Super League coverage.
Rovers head coach Dave Hobbs said: "If the deal goes through, it can only be good news for the National League. It would give the league great exposure and attract better sponsorship."
