UNLIKE the previous week where a lack-lustre display was good enough for a win, Knottingley RUFC failed to repeat the feat against well-drilled and disciplined Yorkshire Two opponents.
But it could have been so different had their discipline been in order.
Knottingley conceded three early penalties on the trot and were behind inside five minutes to an unconverted Chris Pottage try.
The home side struck back within minutes when Andy Lund, dominant in the line-out throughout, gained possession to set up a maul that ended with player coach Dave Sonia driving over.
