FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., June 6 /PRNewswire/ -- On May 26, 1996, the first Kenny Rogers Roasters Restaurant opened in the People's Republic of China and was host to an overflow crowd. The 166-seat restaurant, which features the same look and much of the same menu selection as its American counterparts, is located near the financial district of China's capital, Beijing.
Franchisee partner Ta-Tung (Tony) Wang states about opening day, "I was absolutely ecstatic with the reception of these products by so many guests."
