Royal Navy sailors became embroiled in a dramatic chase with a fishing boat in the English Channel after the skipper refused to let them on board.
Crews from the fisheries patrol ship HMS Severn were in a small inflatable boat when they pulled alongside the Belgian-registered Blue Angel.
But the trawler started swerving at speed so the Portsmouth-based naval team - on a routine patrol - had to withdraw for their own safety.
The skipper then frantically dumped his fishing gear over the side of the boat before allowing the boarding team on to the Blue ...
