Round the world sailor Dee Caffari was today heading back to Hampshire for a hero's welcome.
Dee yesterday became the first woman to circumnavigate the globe solo and non-stop the 'wrong way'.
The 33-year-old crossed the finish line a few miles off the Lizard, Cornwall.
Arriving in strong winds the former PE teacher from Gosport completed her epic six-month journey at 5.55pm on board her yacht Aviva.
Over the past few days, Caffari has battled with a broken autopilot meaning she had to steer her 72ft cutter Aviva manually despite a lack of sleep.
