THE future of a ferry route between Portsmouth and Spain has become increasingly uncertain.
Spanish ferry company Acciona Trasmediterranea - which postponed all sailings between the city and Bilbao in January for operational reasons - has now announced it won't be returning at all this spring.
In a statement the company said it was 'unable to resume service on the Bilbao-Portsmouth route this spring' because it didn't have enough vessels to cover its other routes.
