HAMPSHIRE police took part in a huge operation today targeting animal rights extremists across the UK and mainland Europe.
Up to 700 police officers raided 29 properties in the UK, including Hampshire, as well as three addresses in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Police arrested 15 men and 15 women, who were today being held at undisclosed locations.
The raids were the culmination of a two-year investigation into an alleged conspiracy of extremism targeting a variety of organisations and individuals, including Huntingdon Life Sciences in Cambridgeshire, police said.
