Article: Cancer centre is stunned by wigs theft.

THIEVES stole wigs worth hundreds of pounds from women cancer patients who have lost their hair.

Two wigs were taken from the Macmillan Cancer Information Centre at St Mary's Hospital, Milton, Portsmouth.

The centre works in partnership with North End firm Treloggan Wigs to provide free hairpieces for women undergoing treatment who have lost their hair. They then visit a salon in North End to get them fitted .

The centre has its own security but anyone can go to the Milton Road site for advice. And last week someone strode in and swiped two wigs valued at [pounds sterling]400 from a display.
