At a time of shrinking supplier bases and the building of long-term relationships, it should not be surprising that suppliers are getting more involved in the fabrication process. From either outsourced fabricators or those involved with in-house fabrication, buyers are receiving supplier recommendations for everything, from alternative materials for fabrication, to council on manufacturing costs.
