Sick people in a remote African village are benefiting from the donation of beds from a Preston hospital.
Kibogora Hospital is a rural general hospital which serves approximately 200,000 people in the south west of Rwanda.
In Preston, the private Fulwood Hospital has embarked on a multi-million pound redevelopment and the hospital's furniture is being replaced.
Jeff Thwaites, facilities manager for hospital owners Capio, said: "Rather than scrapping the beds, we heard how desperate the people in Rwanda were for any hospital equipment."
