A friend of a Preston man whose body lay undiscovered for three months has spoke of his sadness at the shocking discovery.
Joseph Allgood, 76, was found by police at his home in Church Close, Freckleton, last Tuesday but is believed to have died in October.
Mr Allgood, originally from Middlesbrough, used to work as a press telegraphist for Reuters in London and for the Daily Mail in Manchester.
His colleague of more than six years at the Daily Mail, Frank Gregory, from Lostock Hall, described Mr Allgood as a "gentle giant".
