RICHMOND
Gov. Timothy M. Kaine called the process surrounding his potential vice presidential candidacy "surreal" Saturday morning.
Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, announced Delaware's Sen. Joe Biden as his running mate in an e-mail sent in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Kaine had been on a short list for the spot.
