A boy has been left heartbroken after his best pal - a pet dog - was stolen.
Callum Campbell, 16, has the mental age of an 18 month old - but stunned his family when he struck up a special relationship with 10-month-old Alfie, who belongs to his grandparents Sue and Jimmy Parkinson.
The pedigree Shih Tzu, worth [pounds sterling]500, went missing from their home on Sherbourne Crescent, Deepdale, Preston, at around 11.15am on Saturday.
Just half an hour after he disappeared a neighbour of the Parkinson's says she saw a "well dressed" couple scooping up a Shih Tzu matching Alfie's description in nearby Moor Park and bundling him into a red car.
