Euro MP Chris Davies has welcomed an announcement by the European Commission about plans to restrict substances used in hair dyes.
The commission says that it is taking advice about plans to restrict the substances sold in dyes anywhere in Europe.
Reports in the British Medical Journal earlier this year found that rates of allergy to hair dye have jumped in the UK as more people use the products.
