* Barton Malow Company's first annual Charity Hockey Event raised $5,400 for the American Heart Association, toward the company's $75,000 pledge. The event was held Friday, April 4, 2008, at the Southfield Sports Arena in Southfield, Michigan. The players, clad in blue and white jerseys, played a full intramural game of regulation hockey with teams comprised of Barton Malow employees, family members, and friends. The White team was victorious over the Blue team, 7 to 5. "But the score didn't matter," said Ben Maibach III, Barton Malow president. "The players and spectators had a great time for a great cause."
