United Business Media's Game Developer gained nearly 222% in May 2008 ad pages, compared with last year (see related story, page 6) and 1105 Media's Redmond Developer News is up nearly 46% during that period, making these books among the standouts in the Developer boxscores. RDN also enjoyed a more than 31% gain in year-on-year May 2008 revenue. Publisher Henry Allain attributes the gains to the title's Nov. 2006 launch in conjunction with an e-newsletter of the same name and Reddevnews.com. "What you're seeing is a launch that is beginning to show up in the market," he says. "The strategy all along was a fully integrated offering right out of the box."
