Jun. 7--Another Valley-based headquarters has been acquired by an out-of-state firm. Dallas-based Morningstar Group Inc. announced that it has bought substantially all assets of yogurt maker La Corona Foods Inc. of Glendale.
Sixty people will lose their jobs as a result.
Morningstar plans to move La Corona's operations to its facility in Fullerton, Calif., said La Corona owner C.E. "Chuck" Prichard.
Morningstar is a Texas-based manufacturer, distributor and marketer of refrigerated food products.
Spokesmen for Morningstar were unavailable for comment, but the company said in a prepared statement that the decision to move the jobs was intended ...
