RICHMOND, Va., June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Circuit City Stores, Inc. (NYSE: CC) today announced a five-year rollout plan for CarMax(R), the revolutionary used-car retail concept that the company created and introduced to the American consumer almost three years ago.

By calendar year 2001, CarMax expects to be operating 80 to 90 Superstores in 45 of the nation's top 50 advertising markets. The company currently operates five stores, including one each in the Richmond, Va.; and Charlotte and Raleigh, N.C., markets; and two in Atlanta, Ga.
