NEW DELHI, Aug 26 Asia Pulse - Indian power equipment maker Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) (BSE:500103) has emerged the star performer among public sector engineering units, exceeding its production target for July 2008 by 108 per cent to Rs 17.28 billion (US$394.83 million).
As against the targeted Rs 16 billion, BHEL's production in July was Rs 17.28 billion, 37.14 per cent higher than production in the same month last year.
Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC) ranked second in terms of July production performance, exceeding the target by 102 per cent and achieved an output of Rs 339.2 million. It recorded a 21 per cent increase over the Rs 280 ...
