NEW YORK--Bernard Arnault is winging into town today to reveal his ambitious plan for a striking new flagship and headquarters here.
The chairman of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton will map out the details for a 23-story, $20 million-plus building at 17-21 East 57th St., right next to Chanel's new 18-story office and flagship.
The Vuitton store is slated to open by December '97.
"This will be the third leg of Paris, London and New York," said Michael Burke, president of Louis
Vuitton NA. "We just signed a lease for a new 8.000-square-foot store on New Bond Street in London."
