I very much welcomed your report regarding the rising food prices and in particular their impact on our continent (The soaring cost of food--African Business June 2008 issue). It was a strong analysis of the current situation even if a little short of practical suggestions of how this problem should be tackled.
I thought you might be interested in what Joachim von Braun of the Washington-based International Food Policy Research Institute has to say in this regard.
