Retired homeowners in England and Wales have seen nearly pounds 8 billion wiped off the value of properties this year, research showed today.
The amount of equity held by people aged over 65 slid pounds 7.7 billion between February and May to stand at pounds 726.43 billion, according to insurer Prudential.
