ABOUT 13 months into his four-year tenure, President Umaru Yar'Adua who was recently forced by the elders of the Niger-Delta region to dump his idea of a Niger-Delta Summit and asked to roll out the bulldozers to develop the creeks, is finally set to unwrap his government's package of development projects for the Niger-Delta, which the Minister of Special Duties in the Presidency, Elder Godsday Orubebe says will make the people better-off.

Elder Orubebe broke the news at the commissioning ceremony of the first phase of the 7.8 -kilometre Bomadi-Tuorojobo Road in Delta State being constructed by the Niger-Delta Development Commission ...
